So Addy is 11 months and a few days old now so I thought it might be a good thing to update what she's in to and doing these days.
*she says mama and dada. Usually just randomly but she did look for me one day saying "mama?" "mama?"
*she is practically running everywhere. You can't stop this kid. It's exhausting trying to keep up with her!
*she tries to say Chester. Comes out like sha-sha. She also says dog when she sees him.
*she knows that socks go on her feet. Whenever she finds one (her own or daddy's) she plops down and tries to put them on.
*she is into EVERYTHING!
*she loves it when daddy tosses her into the air. She giggles when he catches her.
*she loves to dance. Every time any song comes on she does her signature bobbing motion.
*she waves bye bye. Typically only when she hears a car start. It's pretty funny to watch her in a parking lot, she never knows which way to look with all the cars starting.
*she loves her dolly. You can hear her wake up at night and search for dolly, going back to sleep only after she is found.
*she likes to climb the stairs with back-up from daddy.
*she likes to clap her hands
*she likes to look at her picture book of grandmas and grandpas.
*she loves to give kisses...to everything but people. She'll kiss dolly, the dog, pictures in the above book, and the thing she loves kissing the most...herself in the mirror.
*She really really likes food. Fruit is her favorite followed by cheese.
*oh I almost forgot she tries to say I love you. It's the sweetest thing when she tries to say it back to me.
It's hard to believe that Addy has been here for 11 months already. (I just looked over at her and she is kissing a fabric cupcake...that's my girl!) I could not imagine my life without this sweet little wild child.
this is about our adventures...our day to day lives...as we become first time parents...

Crazy weekend for Bugg
So Saturday night she was playing and slipped and hit her head on the corner of the only table we have and bam nice little boo boo on her forehead. Her first official injury...I'll post a pic later. I was so sad. But JC said she was a champ and hardly cried (I was at work.)
Sunday was a lazy day for us in the morning, we all stayed in our jammies til noon.
Monday rolled around and we decided to head to the fair! Addy got to pet a cow and goat and watched some chickens and ducks run away from other kids. It was pretty fun to get out and people watch (although the food JC and I decided on was pretty disappointing.) We got home and needed to plant a tree we recently bought so I put Addy in her stroller and we went to work. After it was planted I took her out to let her feel the grass on her feet, something she didn't like. So she walked on the sidewalk and then we went back over to watch daddy finish up. I stood her in the grass again and she was ok, for like 10 seconds. I picked her up and guess what was on her foot...an effing bee! I flicked it off but it was too late, she got stung. She screamed and we went inside and called the dr. I knew what to look for if she was having an allergic reaction but I just wanted to talk to someone to make me feel better. She was/is totally fine but man that kinda sucked not knowing if she's allergic and stuff.
Hopefully that is all the excitement she's gonna have for awhile. Yes, I know it's all small stuff but when it happens for the first time it's kind of a big deal and stuff I'll want to remember.

Big day
So I didn't wake up this morning thinking we were going to do anything but have family over for dinner but we got up and moving I blogged while we layed in bed, I showered and then we were off! We went to the clinic I worked at before I had Addy to visit everyone. While not everyone was there we did visit with a lot of great friends/coworkers. She didn't nap this morning so I figured she was gonna have issues but no. She walked up to people that I didn't even know! Big big change from the normal Addy. Then we go have lunch with daddy and she is walking all over the place, letting everyone get their dose of Addy. We came home in hopes she would nap but it took me an hour and a half to get her to sleep for a total of 30 minutes...lame...super lame. Then I start getting ready for dinner with the fam, JC's mom dad sis her soon to be husband and JC's aunt and uncle from Idaho. Addy is sooo crabby while I'm trying to get everything ready that I'm not holding out much hope for tonight when she meets new people. Of course Bugg is full of surprises and when everyone gets there she immediately goes to Jackie and is walking and greeting everyone, gosh that kid amazes me sometimes! I LOVE HER! She is kind of outgoing now(which scares me a little) but I am so glad she isn't clingy like she was. I hope this sticks.
Its over.
Addyson has decided she is pretty much done nursing. She's been a champ since day 1 and I really have enjoyed nursing and the way it has bonded us. I always thought that we'd make it to the year mark because I never imagined a baby deciding to be done, but she has. I was kinda excited at first when I realized that's what she was doing, one of the reasons being because then I could actually carry a purse to work again instead of the heavy breast pump. Which, insidently, caused me to fall down in the parking lot of the hospital, hilarious. Anyway, the more I think about it though the more I am so sad that it's coming to an end. It was nice being able to feed your baby without any prep work, to snuggle with her during the day (which is the only time she holds still because she has been walking for almost a month) and just the knowledge that you are giving your baby the best nutrition. I thought about pumping still but she is hard enough to keep up with already and if I try to pump AND keep track of her...yeah right. Oh well we did great! Sorry for the rambling pity party, I feel better now.

Finally a free moment!
As I write this Addy is sleeping in her crib. That's right she is napping by herself in her crib. Some of you know we have has some issues with Addy taking naps, hardly ever happened and if it did we had to be holding her. I'm probably jinxing myself by even mentioning it, but we are making progress.
So, things that have changed since Addy has arrived...ugh she's awake nevermind!

rolling rolling rolling no more!
So Addy rolled over last week, about 5 times in one day and then hasn't done it since. She is so busy trying to suck/chew on her hand that she won't even push herself up when she's on her tummy. I am pretty happy I was able to catch one of them on video otherwise I'm sure no one would believe me! I am a little sad her daddy hasn't gotten to see it for himself. It's like she thinks she's mastered it so why bother. Now she tries to pull her legs under her when on her tummy in an effort to crawl (please not yet!)
I was able to capture a super cute pic of Addy wearing her daddy's hat. It was in color but I liked it in black and white with a little edge blur.
JC loves this pic!

new favorite game for ipod/iphone
Ummm yeah, it's a pretty simple game but so addicting...i have my husband to thank for this! It's called DoodleJump and it's 99 cents! Can't beat the price. I usually only play after Addy has gone to bed but then I don't want to go to bed because I want to beat my last score...ugh why do you have to be so addicting!

Race for the Cure!
So I got our team, Rhonda's Renegades, registered last week. This will be our third year raising money for Susan G. Komen. Our first year was fun and exciting because it was just that, our first year. Last year because of the economy fundraising was so-so. Couple that will me being preggo and not being able to walk the 5k and Tisha's son was sick and she couldn't go...last year was a pretty sad story. Little did we all know then that our team's namesake, Rhonda Knudson, would lose her battle with breast cancer in October. So this year there is a little more oomph and a whole lotta wanting to do Rhonda proud! I am upping the ante and have pledged to raise $650. We have until June 6th so getting an early start is so gonna help! So if you feel so inspired, check out my website and donate or join our team at: Sarah's Race for the Cure page

Baby legs
A while back (before Addy made her entrance into this world) I found the cutest thing...leggings for babies! The ones that I got are pink (of course) and say "princess". Addy had been going through pants like crazy and most of them were in the laundry so I decided to put her leggings on. CUTEST THING EVER!
